Born and lived at Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Son of George and Minnie Clarkson, of 63, Mansell Street, Grimsby. He was an engine cleaner prior to enlisting 13th May 1916 at Grimsby. Went to France 7th March 1917 and died 27th April 1918, aged 20, of shrapnel wounds to his right leg.
