Born At Burton-On-Trent. Husband of Frances Pratt (formerly Clarke), of 266, Wetmore Road, Burton-On-Trent, He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Swadlincote, Derbyshire, 13th September 1910. He went to France on 1st March 1915 and was killed in action, 21st April 1915, aged 27, whilst serving in the trenches near Lindenhoek, Belgium.
