Battalion : 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of Thomas and Olive Clark, of 14, Adkins Street, Cobridge, Stoke-On-Trent. He enlisted at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and was later transferred to the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was killed in action, 31st July 1917, age 19, during the attack at Bellewaarde Lake, Belgium.
