Born and lived in Nottingham. Husband of Sarah Elizabeth Clark, of 55, Bateman Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was a lace factory hand prior to enlisting on 16th November 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th July 1915. He was transferred to 403374 Labour Corps and discharged “no longer fit for military” service on 3rd July 1918. He died on 20th October 1918.
