Private John James Haines Clark

Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Blyth, Nottinghamshire and lived at Holbrook, Derbyshire. Son of William Clark and Mrs Ellen Crawshaw (formerly Clark), He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Sheffield. He went to Gallipoli on 1st July 1915 and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, in the attack at Ismail Oglu Tepe, (Chocolate Hill), Gallipoli, Turkey.
