Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Edward and Lucy Chell. Husband of Annie Chadwick (formerly Chell), of 25, Old Derby Road, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. He was a general labourer prior to enlisting on 2nd June 1908 at Ashbourne. He was wounded whilst fighting on the Aisne, France, 20th September 1914. He was transferred to England and discharged physically unfit for military service, 30th December 1914. He died on 3rd January 1918.
