Born and lived at Tideswell, Derbyshire. Son of Frederick and Mary Elizabeth Chapman, of Queen’s Street, Tideswell. He was a letter press printer prior to enlisting at Tideswell. He died of wounds at No. 1 Casualty Clearing Station, Chocques, France.

Died : 17th March 1918, aged 29.
