Born and lived at Cambridge. Son of William Chapman and of Louisa Chapman, of 82, York Street, Cambridge. He enlisted at Cambridge and died 8th March 1917, aged 19, whilst was near Fouquescour, France.

Buried : Fouquescourt British Cemetery, France. Plot 2, Row AA. Grave 8.
