Born and lived at Old Whittington, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Son of Sarah Ann Booth (formerly Chambers), of 22, New Bridge Street, Old Whittington. He enlisted at Chesterfield and went to France 14th July 1915. He died of wounds, 17th August 1915, at 9 Field Ambulance, near Ypres, Belgium.
