Son of Frederick Arthur and Julia Blanche Chamberlain, of 5, Ash Street, Nottingham; Husband of Ethel Chamberlain, of 17, Hyde Terrace, Lowdham Street, Nottingham. He was a cabinet maker prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 14th August 1917, age 27, by German shellfire, whilst employed on railway maintenance near Ypres, Belgium.
