Born and lived at Goole, Yorkshire. Son of George Henry Pearson Caukill and Sarah Ann Caukill, of 35, Parliament Street, Goole. He was a shop assistant prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He was killed in action, 30th July 1917, aged 23, during the attack near the River Steenbeek, Belgium.
