Battalion : 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Aberdeen, Scotland. Son of Adam Brown and Jane Catto, of 223, Rosemount Place, Aberdeen. He was a joiner prior to enlisting 22nd November 1915 at Aberdeen. He was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and went to France 11th January 1917. He was killed in action, 19th September 1918, aged 24, in the attack on the Quadrilateral near Holnon, France.
