Born and lived at Leicester. Son of John and Ann Catlow, of 60, Abbey Gate, Leicester Husband of Mary Jane Catlow, of 54, Knighton Street, Leicester. He was a railway engine fireman prior to enlisting 29th January 1910 at Nottingham. He went to France 27th December 1914 and was killed in action, 27th January 1915, age 27, whilst serving in the trenches near Richebourg, France.
