Lance Corporal Sydney Cason

Born at Longham, Norfolk and lived at Mileham, Norfolk. Son of James and Charlotte Cason, of Mileham. He was a groom in the hunt stables at Brougham, Norfolk, prior to enlisting at Retford, Nottinghamshire. He went to France on 16th March 1916 and was killed in action, 8th December 1917, aged 31, whilst serving in the line near Ribecourt, France.
