Battalion : 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of William and Rebecca Jane Carter, of 8, Berridge Road, Nottingham. He was a gents outfitter prior to enlisting 16th December 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 13th October 1915, age 18, in the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt, France.
