Born at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Carter, of 14 King’s Road, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. He enlisted at Cheshunt and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, in the attack near Wieltje, Belgium.
