Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Holborn, Middlesex. Husband of Alice Carter, of 70, Bedford Road, Harrow-On-Hill, Middlesex. He was a stockbrokers clerk prior to enlisting on 7th August 1916 at Whitehall, London. He went to France on 20th November 1916 and was transferred to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 24th September 1917 and was killed in action, 13th October 1917, age 37, during the consolidation of the line near Hazebrouck, Belgium.
