Lived at 9 South Row, Stokesley, Yorkshire. The adopted son of Thomas Robert and Caroline Elizabeth Carter, of 29, Bright Street, Middlesbrough. He enlisted at Middlesbrough and died of wounds 10th April 1918 , aged 19.
