Born at Ruskington, Lincolnshire. Son of Charles and Margaret Carrotte, of Freiston House, Dorrington, Lincoln; Husband of Lizzie Carrotte (Nee Harby), of Sleaford, Lincolnshire. He was a fellmonger prior to enlisting at Sleaford. He died of wounds on 26th August 1917, aged 26.
