Battalion : 20th Labour Company Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Barry Dock, Glamorganshire, Wales. Son of Charles and Christina Carr, of 41, George Street, Wombwell, Barnsley. He enlisted at Barnsley and was transferred to the Labour Corps (16301) and was killed in action, 2nd January 1918, aged 20.
