Private Fred Carline

Battalion : 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Ashover, Derbyshire. Son of Job and Sarah Carline, of 38, Hillside, Holloway, Matlock, Derbyshire. He was a farm servant prior to enlisting at Clay Cross, Derbyshire. He went to France 25th February 1915 and was killed in action, 23rd April 1917, age 23, during the attack on Fosse 3, De Lievin, France.
