Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of George and Charlotte Carder, of 13, Lancaster Road, Sneinton Hill, Nottingham. He was a lacemaker prior to enlisting at Carlton, Nottingham. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 24, in the attack near Wieltje, Belgium.
Buried : New Irish Farm Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 8. Row F. Grave 8.
