Born at Wood Enderby, Lincolnshire. Son of Robert and Ellen Cant, of Bucknall, Lincolnshire. Husband of Charlotte Cant, of 11, Butts Road, Barton-Upon-Humber. Lincolnshire. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Barton-Upon-Humber. He was killed in action, 22nd September 1917, age 26, in the attack on Bulgar Wood, Belgium.
