Born at Greenwich, Kent. Son of John and Heloise Cannon, of 117, Waller Road, New Cross, London. Husband of Louisa Cannon, of 65 Stondon Park, Forest Hill, London. He was a furrier prior to enlisting 10th December 1915 at Whitehall, London. He went to France 26th September 1916 and was transferred to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 24th September 1917. He was killed in action, 19th November 1917, be German shellfires whilst in the laine near Langemarck, Belgium.
