Son of John and Bessie Campen, of 4, Alexandra Street, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire. He was a shoemaker prior to enlisting on 2nd March 1916 at Kettering, Northamptonshire. He went to France on 31st October 1917 and was killed in action, 27th September 1918, aged 20. during the attack on the German positions at Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
Buried : Perth Cemetery (China Wall), Belgium. Plot 3. Row E. Grave 11.
