Battalion : 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Ruth Cadwallender, of 9 Hardwick Street, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Annie Cadwallender, of 2, College Lane, Tamworth, Staffordshire. He was a painter prior to enlisting at Worksop, Nottinghamshire. He went to France 17th August 1915 and was killed in action, 16th September 1916, age 35, in the attack at Guillemont, France during the Battle of the Somme.
