British War and Victory MedalBorn at Wimbish, Essex. Son of John and Zillah Bush, of Elder Street, Wimbish. Husband of Sarah Ellen Bush, of 14 Middle Orchard Street, Stapleford, Nottingham. He was a town labourer prior to enlisting on 13th May 1915 at Nottingham. He was appointed Lance Corporal, 18th February 1916 and went to France on 16th March 1916. He was promoted to Corporal on 1st November 1916. He was awarded the Military Medal London Gazette on 19th February 1917:  “For gallantry in action on 13th November 1916 in the attack on St Pierre Divion” Appointed Lance Sergeant on 23rd March 1917. He was promoted to Sergeant on 5th May 1917. Hw was killed in action, 20th September 1917 during the attack on the German line at Shrewsbury Forest near Zwarteleen (Hill 60), Belgium.
