Battalion : 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, Son of Ralph And Rachel Burton, of 33, Redcliffe Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield. He was employed at a iron foundry prior to enlisting Sutton-in-Ashfield. He was killed in action, 15th May 1917, age 19, in the attack at Les Trois Sauvage, France. 

Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
