Private Samuel Burton

Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Lambley, Nottinghamshire. Son of William Burton, of Green Lane Head, Lambley. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 4th August 1908. He went to France on 11th November 1914 and was killed in action, on 5th October 1915, in a German attack on the line at Oder Houses, Potije, Belgium.
