Born and lived at Derby. Son of Annie Roberts, of 68, Howe Street, Derby. He worked in an electric cable mill prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 4th May 1917, aged 21, in the attacks at Malakoff and Cologne, France, Freance.
