Private John Burton

Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Charles and Susan Burton. Brother of Mrs. E. Lightfoot, of 10, East Grove, New Basford, Nottingham. He enlisted at Nottingham and went to France on 25th May 1915 and was killed in action, 13th October 1915, age 18, in the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt, France.
