Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Francis William and Kate Burrows, of Nottingham. Husband of Lucy Ann Taylor (formerly Burrows), of 9, Institute Terrace, Hartley Road, Radford, Nottingham. He was a butcher prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 21st April 1917, age 27, during a German raid on the British lines at Cite De Riaumont, France.
