Private Henry Burrows

Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Elizabeth and Frank Burrows, of 13 Blackwell Road, Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner at Blackwell Colliery prior to enlisting 7th December 1914 at Sutton in Ashfield. He went to France 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, 14th February 1916, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the southeast of Ypres, Belgium.
