Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of John and Elizabeth Burrows, of 29 Gauntley Street, Nottingham. He was a bottle washer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 1st July 1917, age 20, in the attack on Cite St. Theodore, near Lens, France.
