Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Hasland, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Mary Ann Burnham, of 16, Church Side, Hasland. He enlisted at Chesterfield and went to France on 17th August 1915. He was killed in action, 26th October 1915, aged 19, by German shellfire whilst serving in the line near Potijze, Belgium.
