Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born in Aston, Yorkshire. Son of Aaron and Rosanna Burgin, of 5 Kiveton, Aston. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Kiveton Park. He went to France on 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, 6th August 1916, whilst serving in the line at Longueval, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
