Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Matlock Green, Derbyshire. Son of James and Henrietta Bunting, of 3, Malthouse Terrace, Matlock Green, Derbyshire. He was a grocer’s warehouseman prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to Gallipoli on 1st July 1915 and died of wounds 11th August 1915, aged 22, on Troop Ship Clan Macgilluray.

Buried : Lancashire Landing Cemetery, Turkey. Row K. Grave 26.
