Battalion: 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Herbert and Elizabeth Bunting, of 65, Franchise Street, Derby. He was a clerk prior to enlisting on 26th February 1915 at Derby. He went to France on 12th October 1915 and was killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 22, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
