Born at Newark, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Katherine Bulman, of Main Street, Balderton, Newark. He was maltster prior to enlisting at Newark and went to France 27th October 1915. He was killed in action, 28th July 1917, whilst serving in the line near Philosophe, France.
