Born and lived at Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Son of Henry and Annie Emily Bull, of Compton Street, Ashbourne. He was a photographer’s assistant prior to enlisting at Ashbourne, 20th June 1911. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 9th April 1915, age 26, by a German High Explosive shell whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
