Born and lived at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Bull, of 14 Union Street, Mansfield. Husband of Bertha Bull, of 84 Smith Street, Mansfield. He was a cooperative grocery assistant prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He was killed in action, 3rd September 1916, in the attack on the German positions near Beaumont Hamel, France during the Battle of the Somme.
