Born and lived at Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire. Son of Caroline Bugby, of High Street West, Irthlingbrough. Husband of Annie Eaton, Of High Street, Woodford, Northamptonshire. He was a shoe trader prior to enlisting, 24th June 1916 at Kettering, Northamptonshire. He went to France 3rd July 1917 and transferred to the 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 27th July 1917. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, in the attack near Wieltje, Belgium.
Buried : Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 3. Row C. Grave 11.
