Born and lived at Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Derbyshire. Son of John and Sarah Buckingham, of “Glenthorne,” Bowden Lane, Chapel-En-Le-Frith, Derbyshire. He was employed in the blowing room at a wadding factory prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 11th July 1917, aged 26, whilst serving in the line near Ephey, France.
