British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Swanwick, Derbyshire and lived at Skegby, Nottinghamshire. Son of John Bryan and Elizabeth Eyre (formerly Bryan), of Monsall Villas, Skegby. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Sutton-in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He went to France on 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 15th June 1915, age 25, by the explosion of a German mine followed by a German attack at Kemmel, Belgium.
