British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Barrowden, Rutland. Son of Levi and Sarah Bryan, of Barrowden. He was a boot repairer prior to enlisting at Uppingham, Rutland. He served in Dublin during the Irish Rebellion of 1916. He later went to France and was transferred to the 7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He died of wounds, 7th April 1918, aged 22. as a prisoner of war in Kassel, Germany.
