Born at Edensor, Derbyshire. Son of William and Emma Brumby, of Pilsley, Derbyshire. He was a butcher’s apprentice at Bubnell, Derbyshire prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He died of wounds, on 18th May 1918, aged 24.
