Battalion: 3rd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Thomas John and Ann Maria Brown, of 142, Station Road, Brimington, Derbyshire. He was a hawker prior to enlisting 25th January 1917 into the  Prince of Wales’s Own, North Staffordshire Regiment. He was transferred to the 3rd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 9th February 1918 and died, 13th November 1918, aged 33,  of pneumonia at East Leeds War Hospital, Leeds, Yorkshire.
