British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Longton, Staffordshire. Son of John and Priscilla Brown; Husband of Mary Jane Brown, of 3, Uncle Tom’s Row, Normacot, Longton, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. He enlisted at Longton and went to France on 22nd June 1915. He was killed in action, 9th August 1915, age 22, in the attack on the German positions near Sanctuary Wood, near Ypres, Belgium.
