Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at West Hartlepool, County Durham. Son of Jacob W.  and Regina Brown, of 30, Perth Street, West Hartlepool. He enlisted at Newcastle upon Tyne and was killed in action, on 9th October 1918, aged 18, in the attack on the German positions near Le Cateau, France.
