Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Joseph and Ruth Brown, of 1, Wilmot Place, Sneinton Road. Nottingham. He was a shop porter prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He died of wounds, 8th November 1918, aged 30.

Buried : Kezelberg Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1. Row D. Grave 18.
